{"id":310464,"date":"2026-03-03T05:16:10","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T05:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/310464\/"},"modified":"2026-03-03T05:16:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T05:16:10","slug":"kesha-slams-white-house-donald-trump-for-unauthorized-use-of-blow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/310464\/","title":{"rendered":"Kesha Slams White House, Donald Trump for Unauthorized Use of &#8216;Blow&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/kesha\/\" id=\"auto-tag_kesha_1\" data-tag=\"kesha\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kesha<\/a> called out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/white-house\/\" id=\"auto-tag_white-house_1\" data-tag=\"white-house\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">White House<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/donald-trump\/\" id=\"auto-tag_donald-trump_1\" data-tag=\"donald-trump\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s administration Monday afternoon for the unauthorized use of her song on TikTok \u201cto incite violence and threaten war.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe pop superstar took to Instagram and X to clear the air after her song \u201cBlow\u201d was used in a social media clip posted by the White House\u2019s official account featuring <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@whitehouse\/video\/7605372615431113998\" target=\"_blank\">fighter jets in the sky<\/a> with the caption, \u201cLethality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s come to my attention that the White House has used one of my songs on TikTok to incite violence and threaten war,\u201d she shared in the wake of the United States\u2019 attack on Iran. \u201cTrying to make light of war is disgusting and inhumane. I absolutely do NOT approve of my music being used to promote violence of any kind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tShe continued by posting, \u201cLove always trumps hate. Please love yourself and each other in times like this. This show of blatant disregard for human life and quite frankly this attack on all of our nervous systems is the opposite of what I stand for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tShe closed the post by calling attention to how many times Trump\u2019s name appears in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/business\/business-news\/jeffrey-epstein-top-hollywood-crisis-communications-experts-reputation-management-firms-1236513028\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Epstein Files. <\/a>\u201cAlso, don\u2019t let this distract us from the fact that criminal predator Donald Trump appears in the files over a million times.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe White House posted the clip featuring \u201cBlow\u201d on Feb. 10. The track, which appeared on her first EP, Cannibal, from 2010, is a dance pop song that was officially released on Feb. 1, 2011. The accompanying music video came out later that month and features the late actor James Van Der Beek. \u201cThis place about to blow, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh,\u201d Kesha sings. \u201cNow what? (What?) We\u2019re taking control. We get what we want. We do what you don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tShe\u2019s the latest in a long line of artists who have called out the White House and\/or Trump for using their songs without permission, whether at campaign rallies or on social media.
