Fur Rendezvous visitors this week headed down to Ship Creek Avenue to view the Alaska State Snow Sculpture Championship, one of the premier events of the winter festival. <\/p>\n

Carvers competing in five divisions transformed 8-foot blocks of snow into frozen art. Cold nights and clear skies have kept the sculptures in pristine shape since judging on Sunday. <\/p>\n
