{"id":313269,"date":"2026-03-04T23:06:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-04T23:06:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/313269\/"},"modified":"2026-03-04T23:06:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T23:06:09","slug":"taiko-critical-minerals-debuts-on-nzx-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/313269\/","title":{"rendered":"T\u0101iko Critical Minerals debuts on NZX"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"QOlBexkCgF\" style=\"display:none\">The minerals will be extracted and processed at nearby Rapahoe, before export.<\/p>\n<p class=\"QOlBexkCgF\" style=\"display:none\">Following capital raising, construction and commissioning of the extraction and separation facilities will take place in 2027 before commercial production in 2028.<\/p>\n<p class=\"QOlBexkCgF\" style=\"display:none\">Brand said the venture would provide jobs and revenue for the local community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"QOlBexkCgF\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cIn the year ahead we\u2019ll be employing the first group of 135 workers, with a further 189 support roles expected in future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"QOlBexkCgF\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cThere are also quite a few houses to build and plant to be constructed before an expected $11.8 million in local wages and $112.5m in annual export earnings, so there is a lot to look forward to as this project starts to get up and running.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"QOlBexkCgF\" style=\"display:none\">Brand said Taiko would be looking to raise new capital later in the year, and had already sold shares to New Zealand wholesale investors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"QOlBexkCgF\" style=\"display:none\">The majority of the company\u2019s shares are owned by Australian investors.
