<\/p>\nThe Princess of Wales is set to attend a royal engagement in just days – the annual celebration of the Commonwealth alongside the other senior royals<\/p>\n

Princess Kate is just days away from making an appearance at the first major royal event of the year. The Princess of Wales<\/a> will join Prince William<\/a>, King Charles<\/a>, Princess Anne and a host of other senior royals to celebrate Commonwealth Day 2026, taking place on Monday (March 9), to celebrate the unity between the Commonwealth nations.<\/p>\n Buckingham Palace<\/a> announced that the annual event will be taking place at Westminster Abbey with 1,800 guests in attendance. The service will feature poignant artistic moments, including the world<\/a> premiere of the Commonwealth Symphony, composed by Rekesh Chauhan.<\/p>\n The annual service will also feature a bespoke dance collaboration between the Royal Ballet School and Sapnay Entertainments, uniting classical ballet and Bollywood in a powerful expression of cross-cultural partnership. The Prince and Princess of Wales travelled to Powys for a string of engagements, where they tore up their official schedule to greet hundreds of people who braved the rain to see them.<\/p>\n They travelled to The Hanging Gardens, a community hub focused on resilience and creativity, in the mid-Wales town of Llanidloes, arriving to cheers from the crowds, many waving Welsh flags and holding daffodils.<\/p>\n William and Kate then headed to Oriel Davies \u2013 a public contemporary art gallery in Newtown.
