\u201cThere were a few people climbing over their neighbours\u2019 fence here to get in and out of the party,\u201d local man Aedan Byrne told 9News.<\/p>\n
The Sydney Morning Herald reported public order, riot squad and police air support units worked for more than an hour to bring order to the party.<\/p>\n
Another video posted to Facebook, captioned \u201cParents: do you know where your high school-aged children are?\u201d, showed a circling helicopter beaming a spotlight over the suburban streets.<\/p>\n
One local Facebook user, Lisa Woods, posted that the incident brought \u201cexciting times in the Shire\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cApparently the gatecrashers busted in and threw dad in the pool,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey refused to leave the area, heaps more cops rocked up, and the crowds started leaving (possibly towards Cronulla), kicking some fences in along the way.\u201d<\/p>\n
Three 16-year-olds were arrested during the rampage, though they were not charged and were later released while further inquiries were made.<\/p>\n
One of them reportedly hurled a full can of alcohol at a police officer, who pepper-sprayed him and arrested him.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the arrest, police will further allege that the boy resisted officers,\u201d the New South Wales police said in a statement in response to the incident.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was taken to Sutherland Police Station and was later released into the custody of a responsible adult. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt is anticipated that the matter will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.\u201d<\/p>\n
Police confirmed they were launching an investigation into the riot and appealed to locals to share their witness accounts and footage, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.<\/p>\n
They said there were no reports of any injuries following the riot.<\/p>\n
