More receipts. More walkouts. More appalling comments. Retreat Week on Married at First Sight<\/a> should be a chance for couples to reconnect and bond in a beautiful setting. Instead? The week quickly descends into what this season\u2019s<\/a> episodes always seem to become: complete and utter disaster<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe retreat is supposed to be fun \u2013 hanging out with other couples and seeing how we all interact,\u201d Rachel, 35, tells TV WEEK<\/a>. \u201cOne comment turned it into a diabolical experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

The drama ignites after Rachel shares that her intimacy with husband Stephen has progressed \u2013 only for Bec to make what she calls a \u201cjoke\u201d that lands painfully. The comment drives a wedge between the once-close friends and costs Bec one of her last remaining allies in the experiment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe result was we\u2019re not friends,\u201d Rachel says bluntly. \u201cThat comment was extremely insensitive and rude about what I had shared with the group. It should never have happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bec<\/a> has been falling out with plenty of the other brides and grooms in recent weeks. Rachel weighs in on where she thinks the outbursts are coming from.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, I was struggling with someone I care about speaking to me that way,\u201d she explains. \u201cFor her, she was struggling with someone she cares about holding her accountable. It all compounded.\u201d<\/p>\n

But attempts to smooth things over only make matters worse. One couple walks out of the retreat entirely. Juliette and Gia insert themselves into the situation, warning Rachel to watch her back.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cGia and Juliette came to me saying, \u2018We just want you to know what\u2019s being said,\u2019\u201d Rachel reveals. \u201cBut I do see how that was throwing fuel on a fire.\u201d<\/p>\n

By the time the Dinner Party rolls around, the gloves are off and, despite Rachel\u2019s own gripe with Bec, she is still shaken by how far some of the women take things.<\/p>\n

\u201cJuliette said something to Bec that I will never repeat,\u201d she says. \u201cThat broke my heart. I don\u2019t condone that behaviour at all. The mean-girl behaviour was unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n

With friendships fractured and intimacy now on hold, Rachel admits the fallout has had real consequences.<\/p>\n

\u201cStephen and I no longer felt comfortable being intimate,\u201d she says. \u201cWe didn\u2019t want to be made fun of again.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the Commitment Ceremony looms, the question remains: can Rachel rebuild the trust that\u2019s been shattered.<\/p>\n
