{"id":321119,"date":"2026-03-09T19:12:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-09T19:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/321119\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T19:12:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T19:12:07","slug":"warning-as-fuel-can-with-petrol-left-in-recycling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/321119\/","title":{"rendered":"Warning as fuel can with petrol left in recycling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Residents placing potentially explosive items such as batteries into household rubbish and recycling is a growing problem, according to Joe Warren, station manager for community safety at Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He said: &#8220;Fire and rescue services across the country are attending an increasing number of fires at waste sites.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;It&#8217;s really important that we all do our best to help prevent these fires, as they can be very dangerous.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Dispose of materials and devices correctly.
