Multiple sources told People that Rob and his son Nick got into a \u201cvery loud argument\u201d at the party.<\/p>\n
\u201cNick was freaking everyone out, acting crazy, kept asking people if they were famous\u201c, one source claimed.<\/p>\n
TMZ reported that Rob and Michele left the party following the heated exchange.<\/p>\n
A massage therapist reportedly arrived at the Reiners\u2019 home for an appointment the following morning. <\/p>\n
However, when the couple did not answer the door, the therapist contacted their daughter, Romy, who discovered her father\u2019s body. <\/p>\n
Paramedics later informed her that her mother had also been killed.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey weren\u2019t just our parents, they were our best friends\u201d, siblings Romy and Jake Reiner wrote in a statement at the time.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe now ask for respect and privacy, for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity, and for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave.\u201d<\/p>\n
In an earlier interview with the New Yorker, O\u2019Brien discussed the bond he and his wife shared with the Reiners.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo have that experience of saying good night to somebody and having them leave and then find out the next day that they\u2019re gone. \u2026 I think I was in shock for quite a while afterward,” he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo have that voice go quiet in an instant is still hard for me to comprehend.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nick, 32, has pleaded not guilty to their murders.<\/p>\n
