{"id":322060,"date":"2026-03-10T07:41:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-10T07:41:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/322060\/"},"modified":"2026-03-10T07:41:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T07:41:07","slug":"new-wellington-pharmacy-opens-after-jhoots-and-boots-closures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/322060\/","title":{"rendered":"New Wellington pharmacy opens after Jhoots and Boots closures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The opening of the Allied Pharmacies branch in Wellington, which has a population of more than 16,500 people, has three pharmacies again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Last week NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board (ICB), which commissions pharmacies in Somerset, was given permission to open a fourth pharmacy in the town at Westpark 26 in Chelston. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Tozer said: &#8220;It&#8217;s great news for Wellington, we&#8217;ve been looking at this for quite some time now. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;The residents are really pleased they won&#8217;t have to queue quite so much as they&#8217;ve been doing. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;But more importantly the staff at the two pharmacies have been so overworked. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;It would be good news completely.
