S\ufeffarah Abo has announced that she is having a baby.<\/p>\n

The Today host shared the emotional news this morning, revealing the struggles that she and her husband Cyrus had overcome to reach this point.<\/p>\n

“Cyrus and I are expecting a little baby,” Sarah said.<\/p>\n

“I know it’s obviously very happy news, but it hasn’t been the easiest journey to get here, which I know a lot of our beautiful viewers out there have been through this and are feeling this right now, because it’s not as easy as some might think pregnancy is.<\/p>\n

“It’s been a bit of a bumpy ride, but here we are and it’s getting harder to hide.”<\/p>\n

After sharing the heartbreaking news the pair experienced two miscarriages last year, Sarah revealed she is currently just past her halfway mark with this pregnancy and she is expecting a little boy.<\/p>\n

She admitted it was this time last year she went through a pregnancy loss and there was another before that too.<\/p>\n

“I think that’s also why I’ve been so cautious about sharing this news, which obviously I’m so thrilled to be sharing with you all, but I’m still terrified,” she said, wiping tears from her eyes.<\/p>\n

“I’m still finding it hard to believe that it’s happening and I will lean in and enjoy it, but a lot of people understand what it’s like to have this cautious optimism.”<\/p>\n

She also said she hoped by sharing the news she could help other women who have struggled to conceive.<\/p>\n

“It hasn’t been an easy journey to get here,” she revealed.<\/p>\n

Karl also became emotional when he congratulated his co-host.<\/p>\n

“I know you’ve been super nervous about this,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I work next to you every day and I know you had some dramas and last year you had so much crap written about you in the newspapers and it was around that time and you didn’t tell anyone and still came to work.<\/p>\n

“And your strength and courage going through that was unbelievable, that you fought through that on your own – with only a couple of other people knowing.”<\/p>\n

Karl also revealed he and his wife, Jasmine, also suffered pregnancy loss.<\/p>\n

“A lot of people won’t know this because Jas is a very private person, but we lost a couple as well and you sit there as a man and think ‘what could I have done? What did I do wrong?’ And all those questions enter your mind,” he said.<\/p>\n

Sarah admitted she waited as long as she could before telling family and friends about her news.<\/p>\n

“So it wasn’t until we were confident with our most recent test that we felt we could tell our parents, but it was so beautiful to share the news,” Sarah said.<\/p>\n

“When you’re a 40-year-old woman and pregnant for the first time this far along, it doesn’t happen overnight.”<\/p>\n

“I just want people to know that this takes effort, this takes work and just because you want it, it’s going to happen.<\/p>\n

“But Cyrus is so, so happy and he is going to be the most beautiful father and we already love this child so much, he is coming into a world that adores him.”<\/p>\n
