Fox, 59, soared to fame as Jack Shephard on Lost, before pumping the brakes on his career in 2014 and walking away from Hollywood.<\/p>\n
Over the past decade, his focus has been away from the spotlight with his wife, Margherita Ronchi, and now-adult children: daughter Kyle, 28, and son Byron, 25.<\/p>\n

“I felt like it was time to engage really intensely with my family,” Fox told Variety<\/a> at the premiere of his new series, The Madison.<\/p>\n “I had missed some of their childhood because I was on set all the time with Lost and doing films and promoting everything. It was the right moment for me to step back and take a moment, and engage with the people that I love and care about the most in the world.”<\/p>\n READ MORE: Russell Crowe reveals ‘most challenging’ day of his career\ufeff<\/a>\ufeff<\/p>\n At the height of his fame, Fox shared his dream to move his family to Oregon, where they have lived since the start of his hiatus.<\/p>\n \ufeff”We’ve been talking about moving to Oregon for a while, so whenever things get tough, I just keep Oregon in my sights. I enjoy fishing, hiking and skiing, and the mountains and fresh air and all these things are available pretty easily in Oregon without having to drive a long distance,” he told People<\/a> in 2008.<\/p>\n While Oregon did become home, Fox said he came to miss storytelling during his break, so when Yellowstone<\/a> creator Taylor Sheridan called, it was an easy “yes”.<\/p>\n Fox first made a return to the small screen in 2022, but is now a main cast member in The Madison, alongside Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell.<\/p>\n The series follows Pfeiffer and Russell’s Clyburn family as they relocate to Montana from New York City after tragedy.<\/p>\n Fox plays Russell’s character Preston Clyburn’s brother, Paul, a bachelor who loves the outdoors.<\/p>\n Fox’s first acting role since 2015 western Bone Tomahawk was in 2022 Stan Original Series Last Light<\/a>.<\/p>\n The following year, he appeared in another Stan series, C*A*U*G*H*T<\/a>.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Todd Woodbridge speechless as Victorian student rejects $100k\ufeff<\/a><\/p>\n Fox made a name for himself in Party of Five before becoming a household name with Lost, often considered one of the greatest TV series of all time.<\/p>\n Nine Entertainment Co (the publisher of this website) owns and operates the streaming service Stan<\/a>.<\/p>\n![\"Matthew](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/e792c34a-ecd7-40eb-b2e9-2ba06dd3485f.jpeg\")
