A local\u00a0health-care worker is celebrating after her ticket number was drawn in the\u00a0Sault Area Hospital Foundation February 50\/50 draw.<\/p>\n
Alissa Begin of Sault Ste. Marie, who won $66,632 in the draw, has worked\u00a0at Sault Area Hospital for the last 12 years.<\/p>\n
\u201cI strongly believe in the importance of investing in patient care,\u201d Begin said in a news release.<\/p>\n
\u201cNew equipment and services can be life-changing, especially for hospitals and patients across northern Ontario where access to specialized care can sometimes be limited.\u201d<\/p>\n
Begin says she’s\u00a0still making plans for her winnings, but paying off some debt is at the top of her list.<\/p>\n

On Feb.\u00a027, Alissa Begin of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.,\u00a0won a $66,632 jackpot in the Sault Area Hospital Foundation (SAHF) February 50\/50 draw. Alissa\u2019s lucky number (F-17522015) was drawn electronically, and she was called immediately. <\/p>\n
Alissa has worked at Sault Area Hospital (SAH) for the last 12 years. As someone who works on the front lines, she understands the importance of supporting local health care. <\/p>\n
