It&#8217;s the right thing to do,&#8221; Fitzsimmons said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scoop.co.nz\/stories\/PO2603\/S00098\/help-us-now-23000-home-support-workers-hit-by-petrol-price-hikes-urge-govt-to-act.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These workers were already being undercompensated before the fuel crisis. They are also disadvantaged by the Government&#8217;s scrapping of a pay equity pay rise last year.
