they fell due,\u201d the liquidators said in their report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cA creditor had also issued a statutory demand and applied to place the company into liquidation prior to our appointment, and these proceedings were active at the time of our appointment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">The liquidators said the business had been sold prior to the liquidation, and that sale was being reviewed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">No creditor claims had been registered before their initial report was released, but the liquidators said the amounts owing were based on their initial review of the company\u2019s documentation and discussions with the director.<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">The report said there were 10 known secured creditors or interests listed on the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR), including Inland Revenue, Heartland Bank and lender Bizcap NZ.<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">Luna All Day was renowned for its pastries and desserts, including its signature ube cake, mochi cookies and bingsu (shaved ice dessert).<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">The bakery was recently rebranded from Luna Bakehouse.<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">Thi Linh Dan Nguyen and Mohammed Farhan Waniya are the company\u2019s joint directors and shareholders, according to the Companies Office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">Nguyen and Waniya also operated another company, FNM Ltd, trading as Luna Cafe and Eatery, which was put into liquidation by Inland Revenue in February.<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">Luna Cafe and Eatery operated in Auckland\u2019s CBD.<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">The first liquidator\u2019s report for FNM Limited is expected on March 31.<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">Several  high-profile hospitality businesses have closed over the past couple of years amid cost pressures.<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">Last year, <a Rupa\u2019s<\/a> closed after 70 years, as did  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/lifestyle\/auckland-cafe-kind-favoured-by-jacinda-ardern-and-named-for-her-motto-closes\/X7X4ORWJBJA7XPY4DCTJO6ZHEI\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" of Dame Jacinda Ardern\u2019s favourite Auckland cafes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">The New Zealand franchise of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/business\/butlers-chocolate-cafe-closes-what-went-wrong-whos-owed-money\/ZDV6WYIP3RGKRGNPBEOHLJ5KPY\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/business\/butlers-chocolate-cafe-closes-what-went-wrong-whos-owed-money\/ZDV6WYIP3RGKRGNPBEOHLJ5KPY\/\">Butlers Chocolate Cafe<\/a> also closed its five stores following a \u201cprolonged period of economic challenges\u201d after Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">Popular Palmerston North eatery <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/business\/palmerston-north-cafe-cubas-15m-tax-bill-local-business-snaps-up-its-assets\/TSSMX3HUQJDLVABLA3IFEQI42U\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" August with a tax bill of more than $1.5 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"LolVegRJp\" style=\"display:none\">According to Centrix data, the hospitality sector accounted for the second-highest number of
