Madonna teased the announcement with an Instagram story that showed her holding a script on a gondola in Venice. The caption simply read, \u201cThe Italian Job,\u201d and it was revealed that the picture was taken from the set of The Studio, which is currently in production in Italy. Her attachment to the show was also confirmed by Entertainment Tonight.<\/p>\n

Nearly a year ago, the acclaimed hit comedy was renewed for another season at Apple TV. \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to be making a second season of \u2018The Studio.\u2019 We\u2019re looking forward to taking the lived experience of making season one and immediately putting it into season two, then repeating that loop for ten more seasons,\u201d said creators and executive producers Rogen and Evan Goldberg. \u201cAnd, we\u2019re excited to keep all our industry friends and colleagues guessing as to when one of their personal stories will stream on Apple TV+.\u201c<\/p>\n

Our own Chris Bumbray caught\u00a0The Studio\u00a0when it premiered at SXSW. While he found it funny and appreciated the\u00a0numerous cameos<\/a>\u00a0(which include the one and only Martin Scorsese), it does leave you feeling depressed about the state of Hollywood. \u201cRogen really does seem to be saying that Hollywood, as it once was, is over and that if good movies do get made anymore, it\u2019s a bit of a miracle,\u201d Bumbray wrote. \u201cGiven his place in the industry, he would know.
