Its 48-year-old CEO and president Paolo Borromeo is now looking to take the business into its next phase of growth.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">Borromeo joined Ayala in 2012 as head of strategy. His pitch to the Ayala board was that the conglomerate could leverage its reach and resources to fill gaps in what he views as a fragmented healthcare system in the Philippines.
