Image: InSyde Media <\/p>\n<p>Speedcafe understands the Melbourne-based Ford squad is gearing up to field an extra entry for Goodall in Townsville in July and Gomersall at Ipswich in August.<\/p>\n<p>Goodall, 22, is currently in his second Super2 season with the squad and already <a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/supercars-news-tickford-racing-2026-enduro-cup-waters-randle-winterbottom-goodall\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">confirmed as co-driver for Tickford\u2019s Thomas Randle in the Enduro Cup.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Gomersall, 19, joined Tickford\u2019s all-conquering Super2 program this year after a promising debut campaign with Triple Eight in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Discussions around an Enduro Cup wildcard are understood to be ongoing, with Gomersall and Ford-contracted Cameron McLeod likely starters should it be locked in.<\/p>\n<p>Tickford fielded wildcards in the Sprint Cup and Enduro Cup last year, but the Bathurst entry proved a particularly big mission given the Super2 round on the same weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The team is for now only willing to confirm a wildcard program will take place, with no details on drivers or events.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s going to be a great program,\u201d Tickford team manager Matt Roberts enthused to Speedcafe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously the Super2 crew will be operating the car, so they are really looking forward to hopefully mixing it with the main game guys.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s the whole idea behind it. That\u2019s the ethos.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Townsville and Ipswich are popular wildcard rounds this year as neither features on the Super2 Series calendar.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/supercars-news-2026-townsville-500-wildcard-matt-stone-racing-cameron-crick-enduro-cup-details\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Matt Stone Racing has already confirmed it will run Cameron Crick in Townsville<\/a>, while Aaron Seton is expected to be handed the keys for Queensland Raceway.<\/p>\n<p>Bayley Hall will also be on the grid at QR aboard the now Team 18-run Supercheap Auto wildcard that <a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/supercars-news-2026-bathurst-1000-team-18-craig-lowndes-co-driver-supercheap-auto-wildcard-bayley-hall\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">he\u2019ll then share with Craig Lowndes at The Bend and Bathurst.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tickford Super2 driver Nash Morris has meanwhile been linked to a possible Ipswich wildcard outing with PremiAir Racing, for which he\u2019ll drive in the Enduro Cup for a second straight year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/t.cfjump.com\/92797\/b\/294243\" rel=\"nofollow sponsored noopener\" data-bid=\"1\" data-no-instant=\"1\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; vertical-align: middle;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/294243.gif\" alt=\"\"\/><br \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ben Gomersall in action at Sydney Motorsport Park.
