A Woolworths spokesperson said the bite-sized delights were a perennial Easter favourite.<\/p>\n
\u201cCadbury Mini Eggs are one of our Easter top sellers and they are a seasonal product with fixed supply.<\/p>\n
\u201cHigh demand this year has led to some stores selling out faster than anticipated.\u201d <\/p>\n
The spokesperson encouraged customers to check their local stores as stock levels may vary.<\/p>\n
The Warehouse said the treats remained widely available across its stores.<\/p>\n
\u201cCadbury\u2019s Mini Eggs are super-popular this time of year and we have good overall stock levels across the motu to refill any shelves running low,\u201d a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
A Cadbury spokesperson said the \u201cMini Egg pinch\u201d was being felt across the supply chain.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Cadbury Mini Eggs shortage is no yolk,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n
The company said the treats were produced in Europe where factories balancing global demand have limited capacity.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have asked, and argued for more of the \u2018Mini Egg pie\u2019 as popularity has grown over the past four years,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
However, \u201ccurrent demand remains ahead of our ability to keep everyone happy\u201d.<\/p>\n
