Jimmy Fallon tells PEOPLE BTS\u2019 return \u201cfelt unlike any other\u201d after their Guggenheim takeover<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, the group marked their first full-group U.S. late-night appearance since completing military service<\/p>\n

The superstars performed \u201cSWIM\u201d and preview a second Guggenheim performance of \u201c2.0\u201d<\/p>\n

Jimmy Fallon<\/a> is celebrating BTS<\/a>\u2019 return as their two-night The Tonight Show<\/a> takeover continues to dominate late-night television.<\/p>\n

The global superstars, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, reunited with Fallon for the special event, which kicked off Wednesday, March 25, and continues Thursday, March 26, marking their first appearance on the late-night show in four years as they promote their new album ARIRANG.<\/p>\n

\u201cBTS have been part of The Tonight Show family for years, but last night\u2019s show felt unlike any other,\u201d Fallon tells PEOPLE exclusively. \u201cThey always go above and beyond, I mean\u2026 taking over the Guggenheim with two knockout performances. It was amazing to witness.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey make every appearance feel even bigger than the last,\u201d he continues. \u201cI have so much love and respect for all of them. And of course, they have the greatest fans in the world. Without the ARMY \u2014 it wouldn\u2019t feel complete.\u201d<\/p>\n

The group\u2019s highly anticipated return is already making a major impact.<\/p>\n

Clips from Wednesday night\u2019s episode \u2014 which featured multiple BTS segments \u2014 racked up 175 million total digital views across platforms within hours.<\/p>\n

During Wednesday\u2019s episode, BTS delivered a performance of their song \u201cSWIM,\u201d filmed at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.<\/p>\n

Fans can also look forward to another performance during Thursday night\u2019s episode, when the group takes the stage for \u201c2.0,\u201d also filmed at the iconic New York City museum.<\/p>\n

Throughout their appearance, BTS reflected on their time apart and shared insight into their latest music, including insight behind tracks from ARIRANG and what it means to reconnect with fans around the world.<\/p>\n

The appearance continues the group\u2019s long-running relationship with Fallon, who has hosted several of their standout performances over the years \u2014 including their widely praised rendition of \u201cON\u201d at Grand Central Terminal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition to BTS, other guests on Thursday\u2019s episode include\u00a0actors Chris Pratt<\/a>, Charlie Day<\/a>, Ariana DeBose<\/a>, and Roman Reigns<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wednesday\u2019s episode also marked BTS\u2019 first U.S. late-night appearance as a full group since completing their mandatory military service. During their sit-down with Fallon, the group reflected on reuniting after their time apart, summing up the moment in one word: \u201cFinally!\u201d<\/p>\n

RM elaborated on the experience, explaining, \u201cIn [the] military, like literally, time stops. Right? Like, time stops. And after it, time just flows by. We just can\u2019t believe that it\u2019s been like nine months that we all have discharged.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fallon then prompted the group to share what they missed most about one another, leading to a mix of heartfelt and playful responses.<\/p>\n

Jimin joked that he missed Suga\u2019s \u201cone-percent\u201d battery life, while J-Hope said he missed Jin\u2019s self-proclaimed \u201cworldwide handsome face.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jin, in turn, shared that he missed RM\u2019s intelligence, calling his brain \u201cperfect,\u201d while V added that he missed Jungkook “teasing” him.<\/p>\n

Jungkook noted that he didn\u2019t have much time to miss Jimin, as the two served together in the same military unit.<\/p>\n
