Authorities shut down the city\u2019s historic downtown, though <a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/life\/entertainment\/bts-comeback-shows-turnout-half-than-expected-leading-to-15-per-cent-drop-in-hybe-shares?ref=inline-article\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"gap-x-04 items-center inline text-primary-60 select-auto\" aria-label=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" data-testid=\"custom-link\">turnout was far smaller than expected<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The hour-long outdoor concert in Gwanghwamun Square was streamed live on Netflix, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/life\/entertainment\/bts-concert-drew-18-4-million-viewers-netflix?ref=inline-article\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"gap-x-04 items-center inline text-primary-60 select-auto\" aria-label=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" data-testid=\"custom-link\">drew 18.4 million viewers worldwide<\/a>, the streaming platform said. The broadcast ranked among Netflix\u2019s weekly Top 10 in 80 countries and topped the chart in 24 countries, it said.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">BTS, who kick off a global tour starting next month, made their debut in 2013 and helped turn Korean pop music into a global phenomenon with their upbeat songs and dances, building a huge and loyal fan base around the world.
