Spears was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI in Ventura, California, and released the following morning, per arrest records from the Ventura County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n Spears\u2019 case is currently under review by county prosecutors.<\/p>\n A spokesman for the Ventura County District Attorney\u2019s Office told the California Post: \u201cThe DUI case against Britney Spears has been submitted to the Ventura County District Attorney\u2019s Office and is under review by our prosecutors.\u201d<\/p>\n The statement continued, \u201cPart of that review might include seeking additional information and evidence. A filing decision will be made before the scheduled May 4, 2026, court date.\u201d<\/p>\n Following her brush with the law, a source close to the singer told Page Six that both Jayden and Sean, 20, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline, were offering their support.<\/p>\n Jayden\u2019s Mercedes \u2014 which Spears reportedly bought for him last year \u2014 was spotted at her house the day after she was released from jail.<\/p>\n \u201cHer sons are with her right now. She held a cellphone in her left hand and carried a large orange bag.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, prior to the Toxic singer\u2019s arrest, she was seen driving erratically following a night out with a friend.<\/p>\n Spears\u2019 manager, Cade Hudson, called her arrest \u201cinexcusable\u201d in a statement to Page Six.<\/p>\n \u201cThis was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable.
