Meanwhile, Hato Hone St John said five ambulances, four rapid response vehicles, and two managers had been deployed to the scene.<\/p>\n
“Our crews assessed and treated two patients in a serious condition, and three patients in a moderate condition who were transported to Auckland City Hospital, and one patient in a minor condition who was assessed and treated at the scene,” police said.<\/p>\n
Property manager \u2018so sad this had happened\u2019<\/p>\n
Quan Shu, the building manager of the property, said he had seen articles about a party in the area earlier in the day, but was not aware it was a property he managed before being contacted by 1News.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a normal booking for two people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey broke the terms and conditions.<\/p>\n

Shu added he was \u201cso sad this had happened\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m sorry what\u2019s happening to the neighbours. We are the most serious victims. There could be thousands of dollars in damages.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2018Lots of screaming\u2019<\/p>\n
Neighbours told 1News a person had been stabbed in the chaos.<\/p>\n
Susan and Michael, who lived near the property, told 1News they heard “lots of screaming from the park”.<\/p>\n
“We live across from a big park which is pretty quiet, we don’t get a lot of altercations.<\/p>\n
“It’s a busy park with people going through and walking their dogs, but other than that it’s a really nice neighbourhood”.<\/p>\n
Michael also said: “There was a vibe” when they went out to get pizza last night.<\/p>\n
“We came back and there was a group of people hanging out around the reserve which was unusual, it was a large group of young people, and they don’t normally hang out in the dark at the park at that time.<\/p>\n
“A little while later, we saw the cop cars go past.”<\/p>\n
Neighbour Sam Patten said he understood the landlord lets people book out the two properties for short-term stays, with other parties happening in the past.<\/p>\n
“I have two young kids which can be challenging as we are all getting ready for bed when there’s parties kick off.<\/p>\n
“These parties seem to have a life of their own, they get out of hand very quickly.”<\/p>\n
Patten said it was hard to get in contact with the landlord as they aren’t around.<\/p>\n
“It’s hard to pin him down and hard to have a landlord who’s not here present seeing what’s happening, really take responsibility.”<\/p>\n
Another neighbour, Rosemarie Powell, said at 9.15pm, more and more people began to congregate on the street.<\/p>\n
“There were a lot of young people coming out onto the road.<\/p>\n
“At one point, there was a lot of screaming and yelling, so you could tell something was going down.”<\/p>\n
She said there were police, helicopters and ambulances.<\/p>\n
“We just stayed in our home behind a locked door because it just didn’t look like a safe place to go.”<\/p>\n
She said it was a shame as the properties could be a home for someone.<\/p>\n
Sharyn Buckley, another witness, said kids were dropped off around 7.30pm by their parents.<\/p>\n
“Within an hour, there’s like 100 kids in the street, at the property, you could hear yelling and screaming.<\/p>\n
