Prince William<\/a> and Kate’s<\/a> children are starting to realise that their upbringing is anything but normal, according to royal photographer Chris Jackson.<\/p>\n

Jackson, who\ufeff has just written a book about the royal family in the modern era, believes that Prince George<\/a>, 12, Princess Charlotte,<\/a> 11, and Prince Louis<\/a>, 7, are starting to realise their royal status.<\/p>\n

The royal photographer says that although they rarely make public appearances<\/a>, they are beginning to understand that attending royal engagements is not the average experience for a kid in the UK.<\/p>\n

“You don’t see them very often, but when you do see them, it’s lovely to watch them kind of growing up,” he told Page Six.<\/p>\n

“I’m guessing they realise it’s not normal to be in these situations…It’s lovely to see them interacting together.”<\/p>\n

He added that while Charlotte looks a lot like her father, \ufeffshe acts more like a “mini Kate.”<\/p>\n

“She’s got great poise,” he said.<\/p>\n

Jackson was particularly struck by a photo he took of the little princess while she was on her carriage ride at the 2024 Trooping the Colour.<\/p>\n

“She had quite a kind of a sense of focus in this picture,” Jackson said, adding, “I love that moment.”<\/p>\n

The photo is one of many featured in his new book, \ufeffModern Majesty: The British Royal Family in a New Era.<\/p>\n

Jackson said he \ufeffhas gotten a “front-row” seat to the eldest son’s relationship with his dad, which will, of course, look different in the coming years as he steps into his royal duties.<\/p>\n

“I get all these kind of little moments,” Jackson said.<\/p>\n

“Photographing them over the years has been really special.”<\/p>\n

George turned 12 this year, triggering a number of changes for the young royal.<\/p>\n

He is no longer allowed to travel in the same plane as his father. The rule is in place to protect the royal family’s future line of succession, in case of a catastrophic event mid-air.<\/p>\n

George is also about to enter high school.<\/p>\n

Kensington Palace has not yet revealed which school Prince George will attend, however, his discerning parents have been spotted touring a number of contenders in recent months.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Prince William and Catherine<\/a> are expected to announce their son’s school of choice as close to his start date as possible, to lessen the attention on the institution and its student body.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe two primary frontrunners are all-boys Eton College, in Windsor, and Marlborough College, in Berkshire.<\/p>\n

Both have connections with the royal family. Eton is where Prince William and Prince Harry<\/a> attended \ufeffduring their teenage years.<\/p>\n
