Carole Radziwill<\/a> is sharing new details about her return to\u00a0The Real Housewives of New York City<\/a>. Earlier this month, it was announced that Carole would be joining the cast of\u00a0RHONY\u00a0Season 16<\/a> as a friend to the Housewives, and now she is opening up about this in a new interview.<\/p>\n

Carole spoke with\u00a0The New York Times<\/a>\u00a0on March 26, where she revealed that she was a bit hesitant to return to the show after she had been a cast member on\u00a0RHONY\u00a0Season 5 through Season 10<\/a>. But after she made amends with<\/a> and had conversations with\u00a0Real Housewives\u00a0executive producer Andy Cohen<\/a>, she was happy with her decision. “To go back to something that I was such a big part of, you know, is a bit of a risk for me,” she said. “Andy said I could film as much or as little as I want.”<\/p>\n

Andy told the publication through email that Carole’s return to RHONY\u00a0made “a lot of people really happy, including me,” he said. “My pitch was essentially to join us in a way that should be light, fun, additive to the show. And hopefully, to her life,” he added.<\/p>\n

Andy had previously spoken about Carole’s return to\u00a0<\/a>RHONY<\/a>\u00a0during a March 3 episode of his SiriusXM radio show,\u00a0Andy Cohen Live. “I would like to tell you that I’m so excited about the cast of\u00a0The Real Housewives of New York City,” Andy told his co-host John Hill<\/a> during the episode<\/a>. “We have been working on this for a while.”<\/p>\n

The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen<\/a>\u00a0host admitted that he and Carole had to get through their differences before they sat down to talk about her returning to the show. “I think I took her out to coffee in, was it December or January, and proposed that she be a friend,” Andy added. “She was very Radzi about it. She was very analytical.”<\/p>\n

“It will be good,” Andy concluded.<\/p>\n

Carole will be joining Sai de Silva<\/a>, Erin Lichy<\/a>, and Jessel Taank<\/a> who are returning for\u00a0RHONY\u00a0Season 16 as cast members<\/a>. Three\u00a0RHONY\u00a0newbies, Hailey Glassman, Erika Hammond, and Daisy Toye, will also be joining them as full time cast members.\u00a0\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bA premiere date as well as more\u00a0RHONY\u00a0Season 16 news will “be announced at a later date,” according to an announcement for the new season.<\/p>\n
