\n\tInside sources revealed to Star Magazine<\/a> that Martin isn\u2019t exactly thrilled about his model daughter transitioning into the world of acting, instead, but her mom is totally on board!<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe\u2019s extremely protective and worries about what the entertainment industry does to people,\u201d an inside source said to the outlet. \u201cHe\u2019s worried about the pressure and excess. It can take people down a very bad path.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tFor those who don\u2019t know, Paltrow and Martin were together from 2003 to 2016, and during that time, they welcomed two children named Apple, born in 2004, and Moses, born in 2006. But let\u2019s rewind a bit!<\/p>\n

\n\tThey reportedly first met backstage at a Coldplay concert in 2002, but in December 2003, they confirmed they were expecting and got hitched. They eloped in a secret ceremony in Santa Barbara, Calif, and were happily married for over a decade.<\/p>\n

\n\tPaltrow and Martin announced their separation in 2014, when Paltrow uploaded a post on the Goop website titled \u201cConscious Uncoupling<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been,\u201d she said. \u201cWe have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.\u201d<\/p>\n
