There\u2019s not a more brave animal on the planet than a house cat that\u2019s never been tested.<\/p>\n
Simply put, the confidence of cats that spend all of their time inside is through the roof. Outside cats are a little more knowledgable on how the real world works, but if an inside cat hasn\u2019t ever faced real danger, they are often a little naive when it comes to facing off against bigger animals.<\/p>\n
Luckily for this small cat in Asheville, North Carolina, there was a pane of glass that separated it from a pair of bear cubs curiously peering inside. And instead of this being a high-stakes, potentially violent standoff, the house cat was an effective enforcer and actually convinced the young, apex predators that it was the king of the jungle.<\/p>\n
Or in this case, king of the porch.<\/p>\n
Judging by the behavior of the two cubs, it looks like they were more interested in making a small, furry friend. The cat named \u201cScooter,\u201d on the other hand, was doing all that it could to protect the house. Considering it was eventually able to scare both bears off, I\u2019d say it was doing a good job. Who needs a guard dog when you\u2019ve got a guard cat?<\/p>\n
Relentless hissing and vicious window-smacking was all that it took for the feline to establish dominance over the two wild animals that were both small for bears\u2026 but still two or three times the size of the cat. One cub got out of there as soon as the glass-hitting started. The other stuck around and tried to make a friend, and Scooter wasn\u2019t having it:<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve got to love a video like this, eh? It\u2019s a truly hilarious encounter captured on camera, and showcases just how mean and unaware of their size cats can be. Though I know a lot of people are probably assuming that the cat only won the battle because of the pane of glass in between them, I\u2019m not quite sure. Scooter very well could have run those two cubs off if they had actually met face-to-face\u2026 instead of face-to-glass.<\/p>\n
