Jeremy Clarkson<\/a> has shared a sombre end-of-life admission as he shared his plans for his funeral. The Clarkson’s Farm<\/a> star intends to cause chaos from beyond the grave by compelling mourners to endure ‘all 23 minutes’ of a prog rock anthem at his funeral. It forms part of a scheme the Clarkson’s Farm presenter has devised to render his demise ‘seriously inconvenient’. He plans to bequeath certain acquaintances ’20p’ in his will so they won’t assume he ‘forgot about them’.<\/p>\n

Clarkson, 65, revealed he will leave former Top Gear co-presenter James May, 63, a cow because whatever he bestows upon him ‘needs to be something he’d find irritating’. The 6ft 5in presenter stated he will pass on to his other Top Gear colleague – 5ft 6in host Richard Hammond, 56 – ‘all my trousers’. The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? presenter admitted he had been contemplating post-life arrangements because ‘dying in this day and age is unbelievably complicated’, reports the Daily Star. “Eventually, I had everything planned out,” he remarked.<\/p>\n

“All 23 minutes of Supper’s Ready by Genesis would be played at my funeral.” The 1972 prog rock masterpiece originates from the band’s early studio album Foxtrot and represents the longest track they ever produced.<\/p>\n

The lyrics – written by frontman Peter Gabriel – chronicle a personal odyssey of scenes from the Book of Revelation and the conflict between good and evil illustrated through real-life encounters.<\/p>\n

They feature allusions to farming, ‘Winston Churchill dressed in drag’, the ‘guards of Magog, ‘Pythagoras’ and the ‘King of Kings’.<\/p>\n

It became a cornerstone of the band’s performances and filled an entire side of their 1977 live album, Seconds Out.<\/p>\n

It comes after last year, when Clarkson was told that he was “days from death” by his doctor after he was rushed into hospital with a suspected heart attack. It was later ruled out after an ECG, blood tests and X-rays.<\/p>\n
