The caption of the post states, \u201cKarachi, Pakistan\u2014Panic has gripped parts of Karachi\u2019s Lyari neighborhood, with locals and police reportedly conducting searches for suspected \u201cIndian spies\u201d in the wake of the blockbuster Bollywood spy thriller \u2018Dhurandhar 2,\u2019 which was released earlier this month.\u201d<\/p>\n

Facebook Post<\/a>| Archive link<\/a><\/p>\n Fact check:<\/p>\n Our investigation began with a reverse image search on Google, and the results led us to a similar video uploaded on Instagram by \u2018Kawish Parekh\u2019 on 26 December, 2025. The user appears to be a Pakistan-based influencer. The timeline of this upload confirms that the video is not recent and predates the release of Dhurandhar 2.<\/p>\n We reviewed his Instagram page and discovered that the user frequently posted videos featuring the same bearded man, who could be seen checking people and conducting \u201coperations.\u201d The descriptions accompanying these posts indicated that they were filmed in locations such as Karachi and Hyderabad in Pakistan.<\/p>\n A report\u00a0published\u00a0by\u00a0Pakistan Observer\u00a0<\/a>identified the man as one Yunus Amin, who is behind the \u201cGrand Operation.\u201d He worked alongside the local police to catch drug addicts and later shift them to rehabilitation centers.<\/p>\n Further investigation revealed that Yunus Amin runs an organisation called Anti-Narcotics and Crime Control and has been conducting such operations in coordination with local authorities since at least 2023.<\/p>\n Taking account of all this evidence, we can understand that the video is old and is unrelated to the release of the Bollywood film\u00a0Dhurandhar: The Revenge.<\/p>\n Conclusion<\/p>\n Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be Misleading.
