Speaking at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (via Deadline<\/a>), Elizabeth Olsen stated she \u201cknows nothing\u201d about the next two Avengers movies.<\/p>\n I know nothing. I know about VisionQuest because I\u2019ve seen Paul [Bettany] in the last six months and I know nothing about any of it. Is that what happens after this [Dooms]day? I\u2019m not kidding.<\/p>\n 42.6 Years <\/p>\n Deadline<\/a> reports Annette Benning has replaced Jean Smart in 42.6 Years, a \u201cromantic comedy with genre elements\u201d in which an experimental procedure leaves Andy Samberg \u201ccryogenically frozen for 42.6 years.\u201d Upon reawakening, he \u201csets out to re-connect with his ex-girlfriend Ruthie (Bening) and while he hasn\u2019t aged a day, she\u2019s lived an entire lifetime without him.\u201d<\/p>\n The Fin <\/p>\n Variety<\/a> reports Kani Releasing has acquired the North American rights to The Fin, a new dystopian sci-fi film from Syeyoung Park (The Fifth Thoracic Vertebra) concerning mutated mermen. Set in a near-future Korean peninsula after a devastating war, the story concerns \u201ca subspecies of mutated mermen ostracized from a water-starved society, known as Omegas.\u201d The story is \u201cset in motion when a dying Omega asks a companion to seek out his daughter, Mia, who has concealed her identity among the human population, so she can inherit his fin through a sacred rite. Running parallel is the arc of Sujin, a government worker portrayed by Kim Pureum, whose certainty in the ruling order begins to fracture as she hunts the Omega for reasons of her own.\u201d<\/p>\n Luigi\u2019s Mansion <\/p>\n In a recent interview with Screen Rant<\/a>, Charlie Day stated he\u2019d be \u201cthrilled\u201d to star in a Luigi\u2019s Mansion movie as long as he doesn\u2019t have to write one, himself.<\/p>\n I would be thrilled to do Luigi\u2019s Mansion, just because it\u2019s such a fun game. And not that you would make it like a horror movie for kids, but it could have some more sort of jump scares in it, which would be fun.<\/p>\n It does seem like it would make a great movie, but I am not\u2026they don\u2019t put me in charge of movie studios and for good reason. I got no idea.<\/p>\n I wouldn\u2019t want the job, personally. Don\u2019t give me that. Yeah, it\u2019d be a lot of pressure. But if they do it, I\u2019m in.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n The Backrooms <\/p>\n Fandango has two new posters for The Backrooms\u2014one with Renate Reinsve, the other with Chiwetel Ejiofor.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Tomb Raider <\/p>\n Deadline<\/a> reports filming on the new Tomb Raider series has temporarily paused following \u201ca minor injury\u201d accrued by star Sophie Turner on set. According to a statement by Amazon-MGM Studios, \u201cas a precaution, production has briefly paused to allow her time to recover. We look forward to resuming production as soon as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n Doctor Who <\/p>\n Also speaking at C2E2 (this time via Popverse<\/a>), Christopher Eccleston stated he\u2019d \u201cgo back to\u201d Doctor Who \u201clike a shot\u201d if the series hires its first female showrunner\u2014preferably one who was a fan of the show during his brief tenure as the Doctor in 2005.<\/p>\n I thought about this, [and] not with the four people who are running it now.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s the thing: Doctor Who\u2019s written for boys. There has never been a female showrunner of Doctor Who. So my dream is this: there was a little girl who was, I don\u2019t know \u2014 six, seven, eight \u2014 in 2005 when my series went out, and she gets the job, and she asked me back?
