That stress is taking an emotional toll, with one-third of respondents saying they have cried at work.<\/p>\n<p>Suzanne Olive says she keeps her resume updated at all times \u2014 a habit she picked up after being laid off years ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m always prepared,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Experts say more workers are now following that same approach, even if they haven\u2019t been directly impacted by layoffs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople are feeling a lot of fear,\u201d said Keith Spencer, a career expert with Resume Now, pointing to high-profile layoffs, rapid adoption of AI and ongoing financial pressures.<\/p>\n<p>That anxiety is changing behavior in the workplace.
