\n\tMilly Alcock<\/a>\u2018s Kara Zor-El is on a mission to save her superpup, Krypto.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Tuesday, DC Studios<\/a> released a new trailer for Supergirl<\/a>, the upcoming film with Alcock in the leading role after making a cameo in last year\u2019s Superman<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI was just touching base to see when you think you might be coming back. You know, I\u2019m just worried that you\u2019re not gonna find your stride here if you keep going off-world all the time, Kara. I\u2019m worried you\u2019re not gonna find your people,\u201d David Corenswet\u2019s Clark Kent\/Superman says to Kara to open the trailer. She responds: \u201cYeah, well, that\u2019s the thing, Clark. I have no people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe adds, talking to her pet dog, Krypto: \u201cHome is wherever you are, buddy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, Kyroto is then poisoned by villain Krem of the Yellow Hills (Matthias Schoenaerts), and Kara is told her superdog only has three days to live. \u201cYou cannot give up on me,\u201d she says. Kara is now fighting time to save her companion.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso seen in the trailer is another look at Jason Momoa<\/a>\u2018s Lobo, an anti-hero. The two seem to team up for action-packed sequences.<\/p>\n

\n\tHere\u2019s the official logline: \u201cWhen an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn December, The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> attended a preview party for the first Supergirl trailer in New York City, hosted by DCU co-CEOs James Gunn<\/a> and Peter Safran.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe director, Craig Gillespie, who was also there, told the crowd, \u201cThis is really an anti-hero story. She\u2019s got a lot of demons, a lot of baggage coming into this, which is very different from where Superman is in his life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGunn added, \u201cSo many times female superheroes are so perfect. She\u2019s not that at all. Like male superheroes have been allowed to be for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n
