Make no mistake, Cameron Diaz\u2019s character in \u201cShrek\u201d graduated from princess to queen years ago. Of course, Diaz herself and Jimmy Fallon did make the mistake of forgetting on Tuesday night, but the moment Diaz was reminded, she scolded the NBC host.<\/p>\n

The actress stopped by \u201cThe Tonight Show\u201d in support of her new Apple TV film \u201cOutcome,\u201d<\/a> in which Diaz stars alongside Keanu Reeves. It will mark her second film after more than a decade away from acting, but Fallon was quick to note that there\u2019s more on the way.<\/p>\n

Specifically, the late night host celebrated that a fifth \u201cShrek\u201d movie is on the way, with Diaz returning as Princess Fiona. She\u2019ll join her original co-stars Mike Meyers and Eddie Murphy in returning, and star alongside franchise newcomers<\/a> Zendaya, Marcello Hern\u00e1ndez and Skyler Gisondo, who will play her kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan you believe it? It\u2019s like two decades of \u2014 what\u2019s that?\u201d Diaz said as an audience member could be heard calling out.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re Queen Fiona!\u201d the person corrected.<\/p>\n

Diaz was delighted at that, and admitted she\u2019d even forgotten that Fiona leveled up. But upon the reminder, she turned directly to Fallon.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou will address me as such!\u201d she jokingly decreed, pointing at the host, who jumped to attention.<\/p>\n

\u201cI apologize, yes,\u201d Fallon quipped back. \u201cGetting scolded a lot on my show tonight!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShrek 5\u201d is set to hit theaters in 2027, after getting bumped from<\/a> its original December 23, 2026 release date. As of now, it\u2019s slated to release on June 30, 2027.<\/p>\n
