\n\tZendaya<\/a> is sharing how she knows when someone is \u201cthe one,\u201d and addressing the rumors surrounding her and Tom Holland<\/a>\u2019s it happened\/didn\u2019t happen wedding.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile joining the New York Times podcast Modern Love<\/a>, alongside her The Drama co-star Robert Pattison, the stars discuss the film\u2019s question: \u201cWhat if you don\u2019t know the person you love as well as you think you do?\u201d and the idea of knowing how a relationship with someone will go early on.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think the second you meet somebody, you know which way the relationship is going to go,\u201d Pattinson said. To further clarify he added, \u201cYou can have the combination of feeling, you can be very attracted to someone, and also there\u2019s some fear or something at the same time. It\u2019s like, oh, and that could be why you\u2019re attracted to them in the first place. But you know that fear will eventually\u2026 they will do something to you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tZendaya said she agreed with that \u201cin some ways\u201d because in her \u201cpersonal experience, I\u2019ve found that people get nervous around people.\u201d She explained, \u201cBut there\u2019s a certain feeling that I was able to experience when I knew this is my person, because I don\u2019t feel nervous around them. I feel really peaceful, and I feel really calm like, oh, I actually feel more nervous when I\u2019m away from you than when I\u2019m with you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe first met in an audition, so I was pretty nervous anyway, but he did make me feel calm,\u201d Zendaya recalled of her Spider-Man audition with Holland. <\/p>\n

\n\tWhen asked how he made her feel calm, Zendaya responded, \u201cJust by being a nice person, you know? By making me feel comfortable. I mean, it\u2019s like having to do a chemistry read for a big movie like that. It\u2019s like, oh, you really want the job, and all these kind of things. And yeah, he was really lovely then.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHolland and Zendaya have co-starred together in three Spider-Man films: Homecoming (2017), Far From Home (2019) and No Way Home (2021). They will return for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, releasing this June. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn Zendaya\u2019s latest film, The Drama, she and Pattinson star as a couple about to get married. However, things take a turn when Zendaya\u2019s character makes a shocking reveal about her past. Given the plot of film, the stars discussed the idea of how much you\u2019d want to know about your partner\u2019s past before marrying them.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIn life, naturally we\u2019re going to grow and we\u2019re going to change. That\u2019s going to happen no matter what. So it\u2019s good to know someone, at least at the core, so that as they grow and as they change, you can be part of that in some way,\u201d Zendaya said. <\/p>\n

\n\tThen touching on her and Holland\u2019s relationship, Zendaya explained how they established a bond early on given they grew up together. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI feel like I\u2019m biased because I\u2019ve been able to grow up with the person that I love and get to know them through being literally a teenager to now. So it\u2019s like, of course we\u2019re going to change and we\u2019re going to grow and life is like whatever, but I still feel like there\u2019s a bond or a connection that you feel like you know someone, at least enough to feel safe with them,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

\n\tLater on, Zendaya was asked about the speculation that she and Holland are now married. After Zendaya\u2019s stylist Law Roach said \u201cthe wedding has already happened\u201d<\/a> during a red carpet interview, there has been growing interest in whether their wedding did or did not actually happen, with even AI photos circulating online of the couple from their wedding. (Zendaya confirmed <\/a>the photos were not real.) The actress said that while she understands the interest, she emphasized how they like to maintain a sense of privacy.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWell, I just feel like, for me, there is a level of a parasocial investment in my personal relationship, which I understand, and I am aware that I\u2019m a public person, and so is he, and I\u2019m also aware that we\u2019ve grown up in front of people, and we\u2019ve done movies where we fall in love with each other. I really do understand that, and I don\u2019t want to dismiss that like \u2018stay out of my business\u2019 but in a lot of ways, I also am a very private person, and I try my best to be able to have things for myself and for him as well. <\/p>\n
