No fooling. It\u2019s April, and we\u2019re about to shower you with fantastic streaming suggestions<\/a>. Yes, it\u2019s time for\u00a0the Nerd\u2019s Watch,<\/a>\u00a0the place to find out all the best genre titles coming to Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Peacock, and more. Plus, we do the work for you. These are just the titles we think you\u2019d care about.<\/p>\n

What follows is a list of the best stuff on all the big streaming services. We look at all those long, annoying lists and whittle them down to a few dozen titles that we think are\u00a0noteworthy this month<\/a>. Some are new,\u00a0some are old<\/a>, but either way, we\u2019ll tell you why you should care. Or at least joke about it.<\/p>\n

So sit back and get ready for the Nerd\u2019s Watch, highlighting the best movies and shows coming to streamers this month.<\/p>\n

\"GoodGood Boy \u00a9 IFC Films Mission: Impossible movies (Netflix on April 1) <\/p>\n

The first five films, Mission: Impossible, Mission: Impossible II, Mission: Impossible III, Mission: Impossible \u2013 Ghost Protocol, and Mission: Impossible \u2013 Rogue Nation, are all coming to Netflix.<\/p>\n

Scream (2022) (Netflix on April 10) <\/p>\n

The new one is available on digital now, but it doesn\u2019t hold a candle to the first film in this new trilogy (and fifth overall), which has one of the best killer motives in the series.<\/p>\n

Pizza Movie (Hulu on April 3) <\/p>\n

This drug trip college comedy starring Gaten Matarazzo and Sean Giambrone looks like a whole lot of fun, especially if you pretend it\u2019s a sequel to Stranger Things and\/or The Goldbergs.<\/p>\n

The Testaments (Hulu on April 8) <\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to pretend that The Testaments is the sequel to The Handmaid\u2019s Tale, because it is. A three-episode premiere kicks off the new season.<\/p>\n

Good Boy (Hulu on April 25) <\/p>\n

One of 2025\u2019s most talked-about horror movies was this one, which is seen through the eyes of a dog. We can\u2019t wait to finally check it out.<\/p>\n

\"TheThe Mummy \u00a9 Universal Star Wars: Maul \u2013 Shadow Lord (Disney+ on April 6) <\/p>\n

The two-episode premiere of the latest show from Lucasfilm Animation follows everyone\u2019s favorite former Sith Lord, the still badass Maul.<\/p>\n

The Alien Saga (HBO Max on April 1) <\/p>\n

Want to watch some Alien movies? HBO Max has you covered and then some this month. Here\u2019s what\u2019s coming: Alien, Alien: Director\u2019s Cut, Aliens, Aliens: Director\u2019s Cut, Alien 3, Alien 3: The Assembly Cut, Alien Resurrection, Alien Resurrection: Special Edition, AVP: Alien vs. Predator, Alien vs. Predator: Extended Cut, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, and Alien vs. Predator: Requiem: Extended Cut. No Prometheus or Alien: Covenant, but Alien: Romulus will be available on April 3.<\/p>\n

Practical Magic (HBO Max on April 1) <\/p>\n

With the sequel fast approaching, why not revisit this witchy original starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman?<\/p>\n

The Mummy Trilogy (HBO Max on April 1) <\/p>\n

The Brendan Fraser Mummy movies\u2014the 1999 film, plus The Mummy Returns and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor\u2014are\u00a0all swashbuckling onto Max, and we can\u2019t wait.<\/p>\n

Twister (HBO Max on April 1) <\/p>\n

There\u2019s no substitute for the original Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton-starring Twister. There just isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

\"Image:Arrival Image: Paramount Game Night (HBO Max on April 4) <\/p>\n

One of the most underrated comedies in recent memory sees Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams lead an incredible ensemble cast through the course of an incredibly wild night.<\/p>\n

Dust Bunny (HBO Max on April 17) <\/p>\n

Hannibal showrunner Bryan Fuller directs this fantasy adventure horror film about a young girl who hires a hitman (Mads Mikkelsen) to kill the monster under her bed. Sigourney Weaver co-stars. It\u2019s very unique and worth checking out.<\/p>\n

The Addams Family and Addams Family Values (Paramount+ on April 1) <\/p>\n

We\u2019ve seen various iterations over the past few years, but it\u2019s hard to top the first, big-screen iteration of everyone\u2019s favorite spooky family.<\/p>\n

Arrival (Paramount+ on April 1) <\/p>\n

Before he brought the world of Dune to the big screen, Denis Villeneuve directed this stunning sci-fi masterpiece starring Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner.<\/p>\n

Galaxy Quest (Paramount+ on April 1) <\/p>\n

Anytime is a good time to watch or rewatch this incredible Star Trek spoof. (Also on Pluto TV)<\/p>\n

\"Photo:\"Terminator: Dark Fate Image: Paramount Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (Paramount+ on April 1) <\/p>\n

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Kevin Smith\u2019s super meta, hilarious comedy, which is also a love letter to his own View Askewniverse. We loved it then, and we love it now. (Also on Pluto TV)<\/p>\n

Most Paranormal Activity movies (Paramount+ on April 1) <\/p>\n

The first six in the landmark, creepy, found footage franchise all rise from the dead back to Paramount+ this month. There\u2019s Paranormal Activity, Paranormal Activity 2, Paranormal Activity 3, Paranormal Activity 4, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, and Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension.<\/p>\n

Two Great Terminator Movies (Paramount+ on April 1) <\/p>\n

Three Terminator movies are coming to Paramount+ this month, two of which are great. There\u2019s the undeniable classic Terminator 2: Judgment Day, as well as its direct sequel, the underrated and excellent Terminator: Dark Fate. The awful Terminator Genisys is also coming, but avoid that one if you can.<\/p>\n

The Truman Show (Paramount+ on April 1) <\/p>\n

Peter Weir\u2019s ahead-of-its-time masterpiece starring Jim Carrey is something that should be revisited and appreciated often. Now you can do just that.<\/p>\n

The Blade Trilogy (Peacock on April 1) <\/p>\n

As we patiently wait for the new film, Blade, Blade II, and Blade Trinity are all hitting Peacock.<\/p>\n

\"InterstellarInterstellar Image: Paramount Interstellar (Peacock on April 1) <\/p>\n

Christopher Nolan\u2019s mega sci-fi epic has seen a resurgence in recent years, so if you haven\u2019t seen it in a while, now you can.<\/p>\n

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Peacock on April 1) <\/p>\n

This is not just one of the greatest movie musicals of all time; it\u2019s also one of the great comedies of all time. It\u2019s not always easy to watch, so don\u2019t miss this opportunity to \u201cBlame Canada.\u201d<\/p>\n

Space Jam (Peacock on April 1) <\/p>\n

This blend of live action and animation starring Michael Jordan still feels like one of those movies you think you saw as a kid but never actually existed. This one does exist, though, and, dated as it may be, still rules.<\/p>\n

This Is the End (Peacock on April 1) <\/p>\n

I revisit this Seth Rogen\/Evan Goldberg meta-comedy about the end of the world quite often and always find new and hilariously weird things about it. Current favorite? David Krumholtz. All of it.<\/p>\n

The first Transformers movies (Peacock on April 1) <\/p>\n

The first four live-action films, all directed by Michael Bay, are streaming on Peacock this month. Each one has a sharp, diminishing return. And yet, they\u2019re still beautiful to look at.<\/p>\n
