{"id":360199,"date":"2026-04-02T11:20:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T11:20:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/360199\/"},"modified":"2026-04-02T11:20:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T11:20:10","slug":"ex-turnstile-guitarist-brady-ebert-reportedly-arrested-for-alleged-murder-attempt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/360199\/","title":{"rendered":"Ex-Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert reportedly arrested for alleged murder attempt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ex-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/turnstile\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Turnstile<\/a> guitarist Brady Ebert has reportedly been arrested for an alleged attempted murder.<\/p>\n<p>The 33-year-old has appeared in <a href=\"https:\/\/data.montgomerycountymd.gov\/widgets\/xhwt-7h2h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Montgomery County arrest records<\/a> (as per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theprp.com\/2026\/04\/01\/news\/ex-turnstile-guitarist-brady-ebert-allegedly-arrested-for-attempted-second-degree-murder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The PRP<\/a>), which show that a Brady O\u2019Brien Ebert of Silver Springs, Maryland was arrested on March 31.<\/p>\n<p>Records state that Ebert was charged with attempted second degree murder, while\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lambgoat.com\/news\/52458\/ex-turnstile-guitarist-brady-ebert-allegedly-arrested-for-attempted-murder\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lambgoat<\/a> reports that Ebert made his first court appearance yesterday (Wednesday April 1). According to the publication, he has been held without bond since his arrest.<\/p>\n<p>NME have reached out to Turnstile\u2019s representatives for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Ebert was a founding member of the Baltimore hardcore group, and left in 2022. No comment was given on why Ebert left, though Turnstile shared in a statement that they were \u201cdeeply grateful for our time together\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Since Ebert left Turnstile, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/watch-ex-turnstile-guitarist-brady-ebert-return-with-new-band-the-s-e-t-3896300\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">guitarist founded a new band in 2025 called The S.E.T<\/a> (or \u2018The Self Evident Truth\u2019). However, Ebert was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/ex-turnstile-guitarist-kicked-out-of-new-band-after-accusing-turnstile-of-misappropriating-funds-from-a-benefit-show-3928046\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">kicked out from the band last month<\/a> after accusing Turnstile of misusing funds from a benefit gig.<\/p>\n<p>He also claimed Turnstile were \u201cpandering to their audience\u201d (per\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/former-turnstile-guitarist-brady-ebert-shades-his-ex-bandmates-over-stolen-money-allegations-and-restraining-order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Vice<\/a>) when the band posted a graphic reading \u201cabolish ICE\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The band were just about to release of their debut EP \u2018Self Evident Truth\u2019 on March 6 when Ebert was ousted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrady is no longer a member of THE S.E.T,\u201d the band wrote online. \u201cWe will not stand by his ridiculous comments and behaviour toward the members of our band and our community\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ex-Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert has reportedly been arrested for an alleged attempted murder.
