\n Khana Evans, a self-taught oil painter, is exhibiting her work at the Friends of the RWA Exhibition at the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol.\n<\/p>\n
\n The free exhibition recently opened and is running until Sunday, May 17.\n<\/p>\n
\n Ms Evans said: “I was so happy to find out that my painting was accepted for the exhibition and I feel incredibly honoured to be given the opportunity to exhibit at such an inspiring gallery again, alongside so many talented artists.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It\u2019s a moment I\u2019m really proud of.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Her selected painting, Glasgow Girls, depicts three young women from the alternative subculture, exploring themes of identity and belonging.\n<\/p>\n
\n The work celebrates subjects Ms Evans feels connected to, including subcultures and working-class British life.\n<\/p>\n
\n Her work first featured\u00a0at the Royal West of England Academy in 2025, when a painting she produced featured as the 172nd Annual Open Exhibition’s lead image.\n<\/p>\n
