Yeah baby, we’re blogging about Afroman again! Last month, the former one-hit wonder went mega-viral when he gave a ridiculously entertaining testimony<\/a> in his legal battle with the Ohio cops who raided his house in 2022. After those officers damaged his property and found no evidence of criminal activities, Afroman targeted the individual cops in a series of witheringly specific and bizarrely listenable diss tracks. (Around here, we’re particularly fond<\/a> of “Randy Walters Is A Son Of A Bitch.”) Those cops tried to sue Afroman, and Afroman won the case<\/a>. Now, he’s on a grand victory tour, enjoying the most publicity that he’s had since the “Because I Got High” days.<\/p>\n

Afroman’s Freedom Of Speech tour kicked off Mar. 23 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. There’s video of a couple of guys throwing punches at each other during the performance. In the clip<\/a>, we can see Afroman jumping right in there to break up the fight and continuing to perform, like a pro. Also, it looks like the show has a lot of dancing.<\/p>\n

He’s had celebrities in the house, too. At one of Afroman’s recent shows, attendees included Andrea Whitt, who has played pedal steel with acts like Jelly Roll and Blues Traveler, and Zack Taylor, the first onscreen Black Power Ranger. Whitt joined Afroman for “Because I Got High.” <\/p>\n

In Cleveland last night, a sheriff presented Afroman with a lemon pound cake while he performed “Lemon Pound Cake.” In response, Afroman told the crowd, “Y’all got some good police in Cleveland!” So he’s not an ACAB warrior when the cops aren’t going through his suit pockets or leaving his front door unrepaired.<\/p>\n

Amidst his recent wave of publicity, lots of people have mentioned evidence that Afroman is a Trump supporter. One of his most popular songs is 2024’s Hunter Biden-themed “Because I Got High” parody “Hunter Got High<\/a>,” and he posted a photo<\/a> of himself shaking hands with Trump at the Libertarian National Convention shortly afterward, writing, “we laughed about us both getting raided we got a lot in common.” Yesterday, however, Afroman posted a video affirming that he did not vote for Trump. He voted for himself. (He ran for president as a Libertarian in 2024.)<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Afroman also announced his forthcoming album Freedom Of Speech, which is obviously set to arrive on 4\/20. Can’t wait to hear “DEPUTY DUMBO DUCC DOUCHE DYNASTY FUCC BOY FIDEL CASTRO UNCLE JACCASS JESSIE ZZ TOP COP OSAMA BEEN STEALING MY CLOTHES” and “WILL YOU STOP SENDING DICK PICS WILLIAM NEWLAND.”<\/p>\n
