Three people have been arrested following a possible gun sighting in Petone this morning. <\/p>\n
Police were called around 7.20am to the Lower Hutt suburb, with armed police responding “as a matter of precaution”. <\/p>\n
In a statement, police urged the public to stay away from the East St area as officers responded to the incident. <\/p>\n
The area was cordoned off, and road closures were in place from East St to Waione St. <\/p>\n
All cordons and diversions have since been removed. <\/p>\n
