RAYE<\/a> has apologised to fans who bought her new album \u2018THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE\u2019<\/a> on vinyl as it doesn\u2019t feature the final mix of the songs.<\/p>\n

The South London singer\u2019s second album \u2013 the follow up to 2023 debut \u2018My 21st Century Blues\u2019 \u2013 <\/a>was released on March 27.<\/p>\n

During an interview with Apple Music\u2019s Zane Lowe, RAYE made reference to the \u201cbeautiful but agonizing\u201d process of locking down a final mix of an album and said that the vinyl was pressed before it was finalised.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy vinyl is a first edition. I really apologise\u2026 I\u2019m apologising to anyone who\u2019s purchased an album,\u201d she said. \u201cBecause you are getting the album. It\u2019s not a fraudulent album. However it is a first edition. I want you to know the digital versions of some of these songs \u2014 some are quite different. And you just need to embrace that because I tried my best.\u201d<\/p>\n

When announcing the new album, RAYE confirmed that the tracklist will be set in four \u201cseasons\u201d, with each side of the vinyl release covering a different season.<\/p>\n

In a five-star review of the album, NME wrote: \u201c\u2018This Music May Contain Hope\u2019 is RAYE firing on all cylinders \u2013 and then some. It\u2019s showstopping musical maximalism at its grandest, while still being grounded in relatable experiences and unbridled emotions. Again, it\u2019s admittedly a lot to take in \u2013 but that\u2019s also why it\u2019s so glorious, every theatrical flourish and stylistic detour a declaration from RAYE that she is finally making music for herself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Up next, she has a huge run of US tour dates planned for April and May, as well as a handful of gigs still set for the UK later this year. The latter includes two more stops at The O2 in London, and headline slots at Reading & Leeds.<\/p>\n

Aside from her own tour dates, RAYE will also be\u00a0supporting Bruno Mars at his massive \u2018The Romantic Tour\u2019 dates<\/a>, which take place across North America in August, September and October.<\/p>\n
