Dolphins enforcer Connelly Lemuelu has escaped a ban for an ugly high shot on Manly fullback Tom Trbojevic. <\/p>\n

Off a kick early in the second half with Manly leading 28-0, Trbojevic caught the ball and Lemuelu threw himself like a missile at the Sea Eagles star and collected him high with his shoulder. <\/p>\n

Lemuelu was handed an $1000 fine with an early plea for the Grade 1 charge.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot too many arms there from Lemuelu,\u201d Andrew Voss said on Fox League. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe more or less ran into Tom and I don\u2019t think Tom is too happy about it.\u201d <\/p>\n

Greg Alexander noted that chasers have a duty of care to fullbacks, who often drop their body height to get to ground. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs defenders you have got to be very careful because fullbacks often catch the ball and dip to try and get to ground as quickly as possible,\u201d Alexander said. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat is shoulder to the head.\u201d <\/p>\n

Voss noted that Lemuelu did himself no favours in launching himself at Trbojevic with no eyes for the man. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat is running a very fine line,\u201d Voss said. <\/p>\n

Alexander warned that such a tackle has such a small margin for error and Lemuelu got it wrong.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have got to be wary when you chase when fullbacks drop when they catch the ball,\u201d Alexander said. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a very difficult tackle to get right if you are travelling too quick and not taking note of what is happening in front of you.\u201d <\/p>\n
