Jack White<\/a>\u00a0has\u00a0released\u00a0two brand new songs \u2013 check out \u2018G.O.D. And\u00a0The\u00a0Broken Ribs\u2019 and \u2018Derecho Demonico\u2019 below.<\/p>\n

The former\u00a0White Stripes<\/a>\u00a0frontman\u00a0is preparing to be the musical guest on tomorrow\u2019s edition of\u00a0Saturday Night Live<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 his sixth\u00a0career appearance on the show \u2013 and today (April 3), he has shared a pair of new tracks.<\/p>\n

\u2018G.O.D. And\u00a0The\u00a0Broken Ribs\u2019 draws on images and ideas from Adam and Eve and sees White in full classic blues guitar shredding mode, while \u2019Derecho Demonico\u2019 is a studio version of a track that White premiered during his \u2018No Name\u2019 tour in\u00a02025.<\/p>\n

Both songs are available now via White\u2019s own Third Man Records on streaming services, with limited-edition\u00a0tricolour\u00a0and black 7\u201d versions going on sale tomorrow (April 4)\u00a0here<\/a>. They will also be on sale in Third Man shops\u00a0in Nashville,\u00a0Detroit\u00a0and London, while it will be made available at other record stores worldwide next week.<\/p>\n

White has produced both\u00a0songs\u00a0and they feature backing from his regular live band \u2013 Patrick Keeler (drums), Dominic Davis (bass)\u00a0and Bobby Emmet (keys).<\/p>\n

They\u00a0represent\u00a0the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee\u2019s first\u00a0new music\u00a0since his Grammy-nominated 2024 album \u2018No Name<\/a>\u2019, which\u00a0NME\u00a0awarded four stars and noted<\/a>: \u201c\u201cThis is an ode to the mystique of rock\u2019n\u2019roll and to the joy of music at its most physical and playful.<\/p>\n

\u201cTeasing\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0always lead to satisfaction. Just cut to the chase \u2013 and this\u00a0one\u2019s\u00a0a bone-rattling ride. White\u2019s\u00a0revelling\u00a0in the real world and has made it a much more thrilling place.\u201d<\/p>\n

The musician has also been continuing his tirade against\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0in recent months, including\u00a0criticising\u00a0the administration\u2019s plans to put the president\u2019s signature on all new US paper currency<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He also\u00a0recently called for Trump\u2019s removal from office after a racist meme was shared on his social media account<\/a>\u00a0that depicted Barack and Michelle Obama as apes.<\/p>\n

Trump and White also traded insults last August, with\u00a0White describing the Oval Office redesign as \u201cvulgar, gold leafed and gaudy\u201d<\/a>, and\u00a0the White House hitting back by calling the musician a \u201chas-been loser\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, White recently\u00a0announced on Instagram that his mother Teresa Gillis had passed away<\/a>\u00a0at the age of 95, while he\u00a0also\u00a0defended his comments about Taylor Swift\u2019s songwriting style.<\/a><\/p>\n
