Blake Lively<\/a> is directly addressing the latest developments<\/a> in her lawsuit<\/a> against her former It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m grateful for the Court\u2019s ruling which allows the heart of my case to be presented to a jury next month, and for the ability to finally tell my story in full at trial, for my own sake, but also for those who don\u2019t have the same opportunity to\u2026 many of whom I have known and loved deeply in my life, and the countless I\u2019ll never know,\u201d Lively began in a statement shared on Instagram Stories on April 3. \u201cThe last thing I wanted in my life was a lawsuit, but I brought this case because of the pervasive RETALIATION I faced, and continue to, for privately and professionally asking for a safe working environment for myself and others. I hope the Court\u2019s decision shows others that, as unfathomably painful as it is, you can speak up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t be distracted by the digital soap opera. The constant packaging of this lawsuit as a \u2018Celebrity Drama\u2019 is not only irresponsible, but it is by design: to keep you from seeing yourselves in my story,\u201d she added. \u201cThe physical pain from digital violence is very real.\u201d In the lawsuit, Lively accuses Baldoni and his team of orchestrating a smear retaliation campaign<\/a> against her because she filed a sexual harassment complaint against him with Sony Pictures.<\/p>\n

Lively subtly addressed one of Baldoni\u2019s allegations in the trial, where he claimed that she compared herself to Game of Thrones\u2019s Khaleesi and called husband Ryan Reynolds and friend Taylor Swift<\/a> her dragons<\/a>, by ending her statement with a dragon emoji.<\/p>\n
