Metallica<\/a>\u00a0have\u00a0announced a pair of Connecticut shows for November, with\u00a0Suicidal Tendencies <\/a>and\u00a0Spiritbox<\/a>\u00a0also on the bill.<\/p>\n

The metal icons are\u00a0preparing for a length residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas later this year<\/a>, and now they have added a special two-night stint at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, to mark the venue\u2019s 25th\u00a0anniversary.<\/p>\n

The shows will take place on November 19 and 21, with Suicidal Tendencies opening for them on the first night and\u00a0Spiritbox\u00a0supporting on the second. Together, they will form one of the band\u2019s \u2018No Repeat Weekends\u2019,\u00a0in which no songs are played\u00a0at\u00a0both dates.<\/p>\n

There will be single-day and two-day ticket packages available, and they will go on a fan club pre-sale on Wednesday (April 8), while the general sale will begin at 10am local time on Friday (April 10). You will be able to get yours\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Metallica\u2019s \u2018Life Burns Faster\u2019 Sphere residency was first announced in February<\/a>\u00a0as\u00a0an initial\u00a0eight-night run, but\u00a0that was soon extended due to \u201cunbelievable demand\u201d<\/a>,\u00a0and\u00a0it now stands at a total of 24 shows<\/a>, running from October 1 to March 13.<\/p>\n

Those shows come in pairs, with two-night packages available for the \u201cfull weekend experience\u201d.\u00a0The policy of no repeats across each pair of shows will be in effect, after being introduced during their \u2018M72 World Tour<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

Some fans faced frustrations while buying tickets,\u00a0which the band later acknowledged<\/a>, saying they were \u201cworking with our partners to improve this experience and offer some remedies for the next time around\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Sphere takeover will boast \u201clive staples and surprises spanning the Metallica catalogue enhanced by the venue\u2019s immersive technologies that will allow fans to experience the sound and fury of the band\u2019s live performance in new experiential dimensions\u201d.<\/p>\n

Ticketholders will hear Metallica perform with Sphere Immersive\u00a0Sound, and\u00a0enjoy \u201cmulti-sensory 4D technology\u201d at the gigs. The shows are due to \u201cpresent a wholly unique and entirely new Metallica experience for all who attend\u201d.<\/p>\n

Before heading to Las Vegas,\u00a0Metallica will embark on a UK and European tour later this year<\/a>. This includes two nights at the London Stadium in July, following dates in Dublin, Glasgow and Cardiff. Find any remaining tickets here<\/a>\u00a0(UK and Ireland).<\/p>\n

Hammett<\/a>\u00a0revealed last year that he had 767 new riffs for Metallica\u2019s \u201cnext album\u201d<\/a>.
