This article presents the main findings from the more detailed <a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/statistics-explained\/index.php?title=Housing_price_statistics_-_house_price_index\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Statistics Explained article on housing price statistics.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">During the last decade, between 2015 and the third quarter of 2025, house prices in the EU increased by 64.9% and rents by 21.8%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/documents\/d\/products-eurostat-news\/hpi_q4-25_visual_01_1920x1080_v2-100\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"House prices and rents in the EU, Q1 2010 - Q4 2025. Over this period, house prices more than tripled in Hungary (+290%) and have more than doubled in 12 countries with the largest increases seen in Portugal (+180%), Lithuania (+168%), and Bulgaria (+157%). Finland was the only country where house prices decreased during this period (-3%).<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">During the same period, rents increased in all the 27 EU countries, with the highest rise registered in Hungary (+109%), followed by Lithuania (+88%) and Ireland and Poland (both +76%).<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/documents\/d\/products-eurostat-news\/hpi_q4-25_visual_02_1920x1080_v2-100\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"House prices and rents, change between 2015 and Q4 2025.
