This has increased total production to between 130,000 and 150,000 seedlings each year.

The partnership focuses on restoring damaged landscapes, strengthening habitat corridors and improving connectivity across the region.

Habitat fragmentation remains a significant threat to koalas in New South Wales, limiting their ability to find food, shelter and mates. The project aims to address this by planting native trees to reconnect landscapes and create pathways between national parks and core habitat areas.

The increased planting is also expected to support broader ecosystem recovery, providing habitat for other native species and contributing to climate resilience across the Northern Tablelands.

To stay up to date on the latest industry headlines, sign up to the Pet Industry News e-newsletter.

A Northern Tablelands partnership is boosting koala habitat restoration, with a new greenhouse lifting seedling production to 150,000…

[26
20691,111,139,69,147,406
0":"post-368638","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-wildlife","8":"tag-koala-conservation","9":"tag-new-zealand","10":"tag-newzealand","11":"tag-nz","12":"tag-science","13":"tag-wildlife
["GET
