Filip Gregov’s<\/a> proposal to Stella Mickunaite<\/a> on the final episode of Married At First Sight<\/a>\u00a0left viewers shocked to their core, but it seems not everyone was thrilled for the couple.<\/p>\n

During the Final Vows on Tuesday night, the 37-year-old Melburnian dropped down on one knee and asked his bride the big question.<\/p>\n

It’s only the second time in the show’s history that a couple has ended the experiment being engaged.<\/p>\n

But when the news was revealed to the other contestants<\/a> during the reunion, the couple received mixed responses.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople at the end of the day are wrapped up in their own little worlds,\u201d Stella told TV Week. <\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cSome people said congratulations, others were more concerned about themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

The last groom to propose on the show was Cameron Merchant, who asked Jules Robinson to marry him in 2019.<\/p>\n

While some couples have gone on to get officially married once the show was well and truly over, it’s a very short list of those who are that committed after three months together.<\/p>\n

How did Filip propose to Stella on MAFS?<\/p>\n

The final part of the Channel 9 show saw the couples reunite in beautiful locations after spending a week apart.<\/p>\n

Stella and Filip greeted each other right next to Sydney Harbour and were surrounded by beautiful flowers.<\/p>\n

The Melbourne tradie remarked at how incredible the experiment had been, and that he’d met the love of his life.<\/p>\n

“I love you more than I ever thought possible. I have never felt more certain of anything I know what my heart wants, something just for us, something That is truly ours,” he said.<\/p>\n

He then bent down on one knee and asked if she would be his wife for real. Stella couldn’t believe her eyes and ears, and was overcome with emotion.<\/p>\n

Filip asked whether she was expecting that curveball at the final vows.<\/p>\n

“I knew this is it for me,” she replied. “But I didn’t think that you [would] do it right here, right now.<\/p>\n

“I knew you [were] my person. I knew very early on. Some would say, in three days, I knew.”<\/p>\n

There will be a reunion episode on Sunday, which will feature a bunch of the 2026 cast to talk about the season.<\/p>\n

Stan’s After The Dinner Party spinoff show will then air a special After The Reunion episode on Monday night.<\/p>\n

The streaming service will also feature another episode the following week, called MAFS: After The Experiment, which premieres on Monday April 20 from 2pm.<\/p>\n
