When Tom Holland<\/a>\u2019s Zoom box pops up on my screen, the actor is neatly framed by an ultra-vibrant, berry-pink wall. The actor is calling in from his home office in London, where he\u2019s in town doing additional photography for Spider-Man: Brand New Day\u2014work he describes as being \u201creally, really fun,\u201d if not totally necessary.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can positively say that the stuff we\u2019re doing, we don\u2019t need,\u201d he explains. \u201cThe movie works and sings as it is. We\u2019re just adding the icing on the cake in certain areas. We\u2019re finding some ways to add a little bit more humor. We\u2019re layering in a villain plotline in a new way and some really fun stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

For someone who is starring in the two most hotly anticipated sure-to-be blockbusters of this summer\u2014this new Spider-Man, plus Christopher Nolan\u2019s take on The Odyssey<\/a>\u2014Holland seems remarkably zen on this Friday afternoon, sunglasses perched atop his head, disposition sunnier than the weather outside. His mindful approach to working (and playing) is the philosophy behind Holland\u2019s newly announced partnership with the California clothing label Vuori, marked by a short film for the brand\u2019s spring 2026 campaign. Co-directed by Harrison Boyce and Holland\u2019s younger brother Harry, the film follows Holland\u2014dressed in the brand\u2019s comfortable-looking, neutral-toned separates\u2014around Comporta, Portugal, where he embarks on a surfside journey to make it to the golf course for tee time with his brothers.<\/p>\n

Between actually hitting the green in Portugal and embarking on his upcoming summer of press, Holland chats with GQ about his Vuori partnership, what he learned from Matt Damon on the set of The Odyssey, and making time for wellness by way of watching The Traitors UK.<\/p>\n

GQ: Tell me about shooting this short film for Vuori.<\/p>\n

Tom Holland: It was awesome, really. Portugal is a place that my friends and I frequent all the time. We probably go there, I don\u2019t know, two, three times a year to play golf. So to be able to turn something that is very personal to me into a campaign, I thought was a really cool opportunity. And then to have my brother direct it was really fun because I feel like my experience in Portugal, the Portuguese culture\u2014playing golf there, the food there\u2014is so much a part of my family story. I really love the idea of sharing that with Harry. And then obviously, I couldn\u2019t bring Harry out to Portugal without bringing [his other brothers] Sam and Paddy.
