NEW YORK \u2014 Days after he was shot outside a Florida casino, Offset has broken his silence to blast rapper Lil Tjay\u2019s claims that he is a \u201crat.\u201d<\/p>\n
The former Migos rapper took aim at Lil Tjay in the comment section of a post shared by The Shade Room Teens account, specifically a report about the \u201cCalling My Phone\u201d rapper\u2019s dig at him upon being released from jail after an arrest for disorderly conduct.<\/p>\n
\u201cU ain\u2019t buss nun,<\/a>\u201d Offset wrote in the comments section.<\/p>\n The phrase is typically used in hip-hop to question credibility. It essentially means, \u201cYou haven\u2019t done anything impressive\u201d or \u201cYou\u2019re not all that.\u201d<\/p>\n Offset was shot<\/a> Monday night in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, the Seminole Police Department said. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition and was \u201cbeing closely monitored.\u201d<\/p>\n Lil Tjay, a Bronx native born Tione Jayden Merritt, was arrested for his involvement in a fight that occurred ahead of the shooting. According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by TMZ, Lil Tjay instigated the brawl<\/a>. He was allegedly seen on security video exiting his car and pointing out Offset to his group of friends before heading in their direction at around 7:22 p.m.<\/p>\n Per the affidavit, the groups fought until police arrived on the scene. At one point during the violent melee, one of Lil Tjay\u2019s associates pulled out a gun, then shot and wounded Offset.<\/p>\n Lil Tjay was briefly jailed on suspicion of misdemeanor disorderly conduct-affray before he was released on $500 bond.<\/p>\n After he was freed, he declared to the press waiting outside the detention facility that Offset was a \u201crat,\u201d<\/a> but he did not elaborate. He has also denied shooting the ex-Migos rapper, further claiming they did not fight the night the violence occurred. His lawyer, Dawn Florio, echoed the sentiment, dubbing the accusations \u201cfalse rumors.\u201d<\/p>\n
