\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Jack Ball<\/a> (Henry Gamble\u2019s Birthday Party), Kylar Miranda<\/a> (Baywatch) and Julian Grey<\/a> (Fear the Walking Dead) are set as series regulars in How To Survive Without Me<\/a>, HBO Max<\/a>\u2018s family drama pilot. They join previously announced leads Ray Romano<\/a>, Joshua\u00a0Jackson, Kaley Cuoco<\/a> and Julia Schlaepfer<\/a> in the project from Greg Berlanti<\/a>, Bash Doran<\/a> and Warner Bros TV.<\/p>\n

\n\tWritten by Berlanti and Doran from a story the duo co-wrote with Robbie Rogers,\u00a0How To Survive Without Me\u00a0is set in the wake of matriarch Beverly\u2019s passing. The De Angelis family has begun to drift, unsure how to manage their complicated, evolving lives without her guidance, but in true Beverly fashion, she found a way to keep running the show from the beyond. Should they wish to experience Beverly\u2019s final work, the family must find the time \u2014 and make the effort \u2014 to remain connected, and be there for each other through all of life\u2019s challenges yet to come.<\/p>\n

\n\tBall will play the middle son, Cary, who inherited his mom\u2019s razor-sharp wit and intellect. He turned down a lucrative job after graduation\u00a0to\u00a0work at his father\u2019s financial planning firm, juggling temperamental clients and his father\u2019s all-consuming grief. His husband Luis (Miranda) and their two kids provide a welcome sanctuary when Cary feels overwhelmed by his siblings.<\/p>\n

\n\tMiranda\u2019s Luis is a pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, the team\u2019s and MLB\u2019s first out gay player, and Cary\u2019s husband. Luis is the easygoing counter\u00a0to\u00a0Cary\u2019s perpetually overwhelmed nature.<\/p>\n

\n\tGrey is PJ. The youngest of the siblings,\u00a0PJ\u00a0still lives at home with Leo (Romano). He spends his days lounging by the pool, playing video games, and ordering food with Leo\u2019s credit cards. His siblings think he\u2019s a freeloader but the real reason he stays home would surprise them all.<\/p>\n

\n\tRomano plays the patriarch of the family, Leo, newly a widower and suddenly performing the lead role of parent that he never auditioned for. Jackson plays Cooper, the sibling of Liz (Schlaepfer) and Cuoco\u2019s character Kate, the eldest daughter who inherited her mother\u2019s perfectionism, elegance, and organizational prowess.<\/p>\n

\n\tBerlanti and Doran executive produce with Sarah Schechter and Leigh London Redman. Rogers also executive produces via Berlanti Productions and its overall deal with WBTV. Warner Bros Television is the studio. Daniel Minahan\u00a0will direct the pilot.<\/p>\n

\n\tBall, known for his work in Henry Gamble\u2019s Birthday Party, Kill The Monsters and Sirens, is repped by Stewart Talent and Darlene Kaplan Entertainment.<\/p>\n

\n\tMiranda, most recently seen in romantic drama On Swift Horses, will next take on a recurring role in Fox\u2019s new Baywatch series. He\u2019s repped by LA Talent and MRK MGMT.<\/p>\n

\n\tGrey portrayed Klaus in Fear the Walking Dead and appeared in The Matrix Resurrections, Netflix miniseries Godless and The Craft: Legacy, among many others.
