\n\tStars, as it turns out, are not just like us. Especially if they live in Los Angeles among their fellow A-listers. Take Bush<\/a> singer Gavin Rossdale, for instance. During a visit to Sirius XM\u2019s Page Six radio this week, the 60-year-old rocker revisited a (swim) meet-cute story about Britney Spears<\/a> back when the pop icon was his neighbor in the mid-2000s.<\/p>\n

\n\tCo-host Evan Real noted that Spears, 44, had told the tale back in 2015 in an interview with an Australian outlet, recalling that she randomly told an interviewer that she would love to work with Gwen Stefani one day. Brit added that the No Doubt singer and solo star and then-husband Rossdale used to be her next door neighbors, adding, \u201c\u2018I swam with her husband \u2026 so, that was really cool.’\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tReal asked if the \u201cGlycerine\u201d singer knew what she was talking about. \u201cOf course, how could you forget that?\u201d Rossdale said of the dip with Spears. \u201cWe were neighbors and so she came around when the kids were small and she was a real character and I got on really well with her. She was lovely and she\u2019s a great swimmer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRossdale also noted that his now-teen children with ex Stefani, Kingston, 19, Zuma, 17, and Apollo, 12, were \u201ctoo busy chatting with Britney\u201d to play with Spears\u2019 now-adult sons, Sean Preston, 20 and Jayden James, 19. According to Page Six\u2018s math, Rossdale and Spears were likely neighbors around 2007, when the rocker and Stefani \u2014\u00a0who married in 2002 and split in 2016 \u2014\u00a0lived adjacent to the pop star in The Summit gated community in Beverly Hills. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to splashing about, Spears has not been shy about fangirling over Rossdale\u2019s band, posting one of her infamous dance videos in October 2021 in which she spun around to Bush\u2019s signature 1996 Billboard Hot 100 No. 28 hit \u201cGlycerine.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c\u2019Glycerine\u2019 was my favorite song in high school \u2026 sounds like gasoline \u26fd\ufe0f but you know \u2018Glycerine!!!!,’\u201d Spears wrote at the time<\/a>. \u201cA little secret for ya \u2026 @gwenstefani<\/a> invited me over one day to swim \ud83d\udc59 at her house and me and Gavin from Bush swam together \u2026 literally the coolest moment of my life \ud83e\udd29\ud83d\ude02\ud83e\udd23 !!!!\u201d Rossdale reposted the video<\/a> and wrote, \u201c@britneyspears i love you \u2013 best video \u2013 sweetest words\ud83d\udda4\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBush kicked off their Land of Milk and Honey U.S. tour<\/a> on Tuesday (April 7) and will play Washington, D.C.\u2019s The Anthem tonight (April 9).<\/p>\n
